The Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation is an organisation focused on giving families with children who have life threatening illnesses some respite throughout their treatment. And to provide a place where they can stay and enjoy some quality time for the whole family.
The Foundation was Created by Dave & Lorraine Waterman in August 2005, after the sad loss of their son Oakley aged 6 from a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosrcoma. Because little Oakley loved the caravan site so much, it was his wish that the caravan should also be used by other children who face similar life threatening illnesses.
The Foundation now have two caravans, at Church Farm in the small seaside village of Pagham in West Sussex. With the other caravan located atDevon Cliffs near Exmouth. With your help our aim is to Place caravans at numerous locations throughout the UK. So we can make the lives of these families a little less upsetting whilst they deal with their battle against these Life Threatening illnesses. Away from the normal daily routine they can enjoy a short break with holiday type entertainment for the family.
Please take some time to browse the website and see if you can make a contribution to this worthy charity.
